Paladin AI

We rebuild commercial property and business-interruption claim files.

You review, correct, and sign them.

Paladin AI produces claim documentation for licensed public adjusting firms and policyholder-side counsel. That is the whole of what we do.

We are not a public adjusting firm. We do not adjust claims, negotiate with carriers, or contact insureds. We never take a percentage of a claim or of your fee.

A full rebuild arrives in four parts: a coverage matrix, a line-by-line comparison against the carrier’s estimate, a month-by-month business-interruption model, and a rebuttal pack your licensed professional can sign.

Built around Florida law. Every citation is to the form edition and the state authority that governs the claim: the Florida Statutes, the Florida Building Code, and the filed ISO forms.

What arrives

Coverage matrix

A table for the loss, item by item: covered or not, the clause or endorsement that applies, the limit that applies, and the conditions that must be met. Every cell cites the policy page it came from.

Estimate comparison

The carrier’s estimate against the full-cost estimate, line by line: what is missing, what is underpriced, and what is priced on a cheaper repair method. Dollar differences on every line.

Business-interruption model

Month by month for the period of loss, built from the client’s own financials: lost revenue, continuing costs, and the net claim for each month. Every assumption footnotes the document it came from.

Rebuttal pack

The written argument for the correct number, item by item, including the parts we concede. Drafted for a licensed adjuster or lawyer to review, correct, and sign.

The sample

Illustrative sample file

Read the whole thing before you send us anything.

It is a hotel claim: invented loss, invented figures, real publicly filed ISO policy forms. It is labelled a sample at the top, it is not advice on any claim, and it is not a result.

What to look for

  • A coverage gap the estimate never addressed. Ordinance and law: the policy carries only the base form’s built-in $10,000 increased-cost-of-construction cover against a $186,000 code exposure — a $176,000 gap, counted once, the largest single gap in the file.
  • One line from the estimate comparison. The roof membrane: the carrier priced a patch repair, while the manufacturer’s system conditions require full-field replacement across a 10,000 sq ft field.
  • One month from the BI model. The first month’s net income loss: $361,836 — lost revenue $492,261 less $130,425 of costs that stopped.

Every number above is invented for the sample. The sample shows format and method. It is not a claim, not a client file, and not an indication of what any claim is worth.

How a file is produced

Florida Statutes · Florida Building Code · filed ISO forms

  1. Intake.

You send the bundle: the policy and every endorsement, the carrier’s written estimate and any expert reports, the financials for the BI model, and any permits, contracts, photographs, reports, and correspondence.

  2. Coverage.

We read the policy and every endorsement against each part of the loss.

  3. Comparison.

We compare the carrier’s estimate with a full-cost estimate, line by line.

  4. Business interruption.

We rebuild the model month by month from the client’s financials.

  5. Rebuttal.

We write the argument for the correct number, item by item.

Two controls hold on every file

  • Every assumption footnotes the document it came from.
  • Your licensed adjuster or lawyer makes and signs every coverage, causation and valuation judgement. We don’t make those judgements and we don’t sign anything.

The reading and the arithmetic are machine-assisted. The judgements and the signature are not.

Two things shape the rebuild

  • An endorsement can change the answer as much as the base form does. We read every one.
  • The causation split can carry the disagreement. Water that entered because wind opened the envelope is a different line from water that arrived as flooding. The rebuilt file separates them by room, by date, and by evidence.

The licensed work stays with you: the inspection, the signature, and the negotiation. We do not touch any of the three.

Boundaries

We produce work product for licensed professionals. Nothing here is for an insured.

  • We do not adjust claims, negotiate with carriers, or contact insureds. We are not a public adjusting firm and we hold no adjuster licence.
  • Our fee is a flat price for defined work. Never a percentage of a claim, of a recovery, or of your fee. The invoice is the same number if the claim pays nothing.
  • Your licensee signs every judgement. Coverage, causation, and valuation calls are made and signed by the licensed professional who engages us. The client, the file, and the judgement stay yours.
  • Scope is agreed per matter, in writing, before any file is accepted. Not every state permits this arrangement, and we confirm the position for your matter before work starts.
  • We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice.
  • Nothing we produce binds a carrier. The number is settled by negotiation, by agreement, or by an appraisal award.

Price, and the free first file

Published prices for defined work
Work Price What it is
Claim audit $2,500–5,000 Coverage read plus estimate re-read. Two of the four parts.
Full rebuild $2,500–6,000 per file All four parts, on one file.
Back-office retainer $10,000–20,000 per month Ongoing production for a firm’s pipeline, scoped to volume.
Appraisal support pack $5,000–15,000 Documentation for a file in appraisal: the submission binder and the umpire packet.

One rule covers every price here: a flat fee for defined work. Never a percentage of a claim, a recovery, or your fee. The invoice is the same number if the claim pays nothing.

The first file is rebuilt free, for comparison

Send one closed file. We rebuild it as a full file — all four parts. You put the rebuilt file next to what your firm produced and what the carrier paid. If it isn’t useful to you, we stop there.

We ask for a closed file on purpose: the work is finished, and there is nothing live for us to touch.

Who we are

Nolan Whitley, founder of Paladin AI
Nolan Whitley, founder

Paladin AI is founder-led, new, and small on purpose. Nolan Whitley runs it. There is no team page, no adjusters on staff, and no decades of experience to point to.

We have not produced a paying client file yet. The method is being built so it can be checked on closed files, where the finished work can be compared against what actually happened — which is also why the first rebuild is free.

We are starting with a limited number of files. When you write, we will tell you honestly whether we can take yours and when.
